We received the news regarding a case that was a searing wound in the Polish justice system and a huge blow to a righteous family with great joy and relief.
A brave and steadfast mother, who had refused to terminate her pregnancy and had then publicly warned other patients about the doctor who had suggested it, was sentenced to community service. She refused to apologise, stating that she had no intention of doing so, which could have resulted in a year in prison. Today, however, President Karol Nawrocki exercised his power of clemency and pardoned Ms Weronika.
